Garden Party

I've been suffering from insomnia for the past few weeks. I don't know if it's the weather or what. It is making my life hell, let me tell you. I stay up until the wee hours of the morning and then I'm all dragged out at work, and that is NO GOOD! I can't get myself turned around. Nothing makes me sleepy, not tea, not medication, nothing. I'm hoping when this muggy weather changes my sleep habits change. I stay up late working on craft projects or watching tv. Anything to try and make me sleepy. I'm truly tired of it. Well, enough of that.

This is my entry for Cathy's Garden Party challenge. Here is the inspiration photo. I hope my late entry (due to the above paragraph) is in time for the challenge this week. I sure enjoyed making it. I used all Odd Bird Planet stamps: Kelly's Tree, thinking of you sentiment, stump, mixed mushroom group and petit fleur. (If you like the petit fleur, you'd better hurry up and order it. It's being discontinued.) I drew in the big green bushes in the background and colored everything with my Prisma pencils. I cut out the image and adhered it to two layers of Lasting Impressions paper.

That's gorgeous. I love the scene you put together. As for your coloring, well, it's perfection.

I'm you in the insomnia boat. I haven't slept more than 5 hours in a row per evening since mid-July. So, I understand and it totally sucks.

I think I'll email you later. If I forget, remind me. Insomnia has seriously contributed to my memory decline.

This is just beautiful Debbie! I NEED to get Kelly's tree. Gotta get moving on my OBP order.

Insomnia stinks. I had it bad shortly after the twins were born. After not sleeping for 4 nights in a row - I was getting scared to drive my kids around. I ended up at the Dr. for some Ambien. I'm lucky, it works for me at a pretty low dose. I don't need it often now but for a while there it was my best friend. Have you tried percription? Maybe it can get you over the hump - and then you can wean yourself back off??

Oh dear. Girly you need to start reading the dictionary or something that is not so much fun as crafting!

((HUGE HUGS)) Sure hope you get your rhythm back soon!! Wouldnt want that pink hair to turn orange or something crazy like that.

The card is beautiful!

Wonderful creation! Love how you've worked all the images together to form a beautiful picture!

Have you tried the combo...warm bath, warm tea, and a book? ;-) When I was pregnant with my first I had more engergy then I knew what to do with and only slept about four hours a night. Found that the bath, while drinking tea and reading a book, did help to relax me enough to get some sleep. Nothing like taking a bath at 1am! LOL! Hope things get back to normal soon!
